Expert Answers about Grand Design Momentum 5W Toy Hauler

  • If My Trailer Tires Are At 90°F to 95°F Is That Normal?
  • Yes, that is correct. 90°F to 96°F is completely normal for your Cooper tires to be at. As far as tire pressure goes, as long as your tires are at 20%-25% of what the max tire pressure is supposed to be, you're good to go. If you're able to let me know what tires you specifically have, I would be happy to let you know a definitive answer.

  • Is Sealant Needed When Installing Rubber Wiper Slide Out Seals
  • Sealant isn't required when installing the Rubber Wiper Seal and Bulb for RV Slide Out # SR68FR, but I would put a few screws in to help hold the seal since the trailer will bake in the sun and can cause issues with the 3M tape. At minimum I would put a screw on each end. You'll want to overlap your seals so that the top seal sits over the side seals to prevent water from leaking past them.

  • How to Install Rear, Garage and Side Cameras on Grand Design Momentum 395S Toy Hauler
  • From what I was able to research, the Momentum comes pre-wired for a Furrion rear camera only. The Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Backup Camera System # FOS05TASF allows you to monitor up to a total of 4 cameras, so you can add the two side cameras with part # FCE48TASL and then an additional camera to monitor the inside of your toy hauler with part # FCN48TASF. The side cameras and garage camera would need to be hardwired to your running lights on your RV for observation. I've attached...

  • Torque For etrailer 12 Inch Electric Brakes
  • The correct torque is 30-50 ft. lbs for the etrailer Electric Trailer Brakes - 12" - 5,200 lbs to 7,000 lbs # AKEBRK-6. As for the wheel it depends on if you have 1/2" or 9/16" studs; you should have 16" wheels so with 1/2" studs it is 90-120 ft. lbs of torque and 9/16" studs are 120-140 ft. lbs.
